Due to the fact that for several weeks past I have had an accumulation of about 75 files awaiting action in addition to the daily intake, I have only to-day seen 4 on this file.

This report of Miss K.M. Anderson (who is of the four or mistresses of the Hong Kong Education Department) describes the education that was given to the youngest children in Stanley Internment Camp and is most interesting. The work that was done in providing schooling for children in such very difficult circumstances may well prove to be the biggest factor in mitigating the ill effects on them of internment.

Mr. Robison will I think wish to see both this and the report at(1) and perhaps he would say if he thinks any further action should be taken.

Afterwards the file should go to Sir John Shuckburgh who will I think also wish to see both 1 and 4.

I am having a copy of Miss Anderson's covering note and the acknowledgement now sent registered on her personal file with a reference to this.
